About Karna

  Karna Maffait was born in Denmark to a Danish mother and French father. Growing up, Karna was surrounded by art, food and photography....

At the age of 7 she got her first camera and began exhibiting her natural gifts as an artist. Her curiosity for photography developed in her childhood home, beginning with a fascination for her fathers camera.

Her devotion for photography contined further in to college, where she graducated top of her class at the college of Master photography in 1990. During the next 10 years, she worked in a photo- and filmproduction company, where big Ad campaigns and commercial productions were everyday work. It was during that period Karna honed her technical skills in photography.

Based in Denmark and Italy, Karna has years of experience - scouting, shooting and producing all kinds of shoots all over the world. She specializes in fashion photography for editorials, catalogs and advertising.

She understands the power of photography as an art form, and believes that the best working relationships are based on openness and trust.

Armed with positive intensity and passion for her work, she has earned that respect and trust, which her teammates have come to love and enjoy with every shoot.
